How it works

Our individual 1-on-1 grief counseling supports women navigating complex and often unacknowledged grief tied to trauma, incarceration, identity shifts, and life disruption. We work with grief beyond death, naming losses that are frequently overlooked or minimized and helping clients understand how grief shows up emotionally, physically, and relationally. We create a slowed-down, non-judgmental space where grief can be named, regulated, and integrated rather than rushed or fixed.

Our approach is trauma-informed and grounded in dignity, pacing, and consent, allowing clients to feel safe enough to explore what they are carrying without fear of being labeled or pressured. Through this work, clients gain clarity, strengthen emotional regulation, and reconnect with their sense of agency. Healing unfolds at a human pace, supporting forward movement without erasing the past or abandoning one’s story.

Sessions may be together in-person if you are local to the New York area or virtual. Our virtual counseling sessions group and individual offer a space for you to explore and process your grief. We encourage open and honest communication, allowing you to share memories, stories, and emotions related to your loss. This process can facilitate healing. Together, we identify and work towards specific goals that align with your healing journey.
